In certain scenarios, a customer may request us to make some modifications to our solutions based on unique customer needs. All of the modifications will be developed and validated using our lifecycle methodologies. These modifications fall into one of the following categories:

Point-and-click customizations
Since the abacusBPM software design is modular and extremely configurable, the typical modifications we need to make to the base solution are point and click changes and configuration changes. Such modifications will be charged a nominal fee.

Design modifications and code modifications
If a customer’s unique requirements require design modifications and / or code modifications to an existing solution, the costs for the modification will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

Sometimes a client has a unique requirement to automate a business process that is not part of our current or future product suite. In such cases, abacusBPM applications are custom-built for our customers. These custom applications fall into one of the two categories:

Future Product - Customer and abacusBPM share development costs
If the custom application requested by the client could potentially be used by other organizations, then we are willing to negotiate an agreement with the customer where we divide the development costs of the application. In this model, the customer gets the application they need at half the cost and abacusBPM can sell the application to other customers.

One-off-Application - Customer has a unique need
If the custom application requested by the client is very unique to the customer and has no resale potential, the customer will pay our development costs in addition to other costs (e.g. to use our SaaS model).

Our various abacusBPM applications can also be rendered through the traditional “on-premises” model. Upon customer request, we have deployed our applications at our customer’s locations. Upon customer request we also provide validation documentation and validation execution services. Separate deployment contracts and maintenance contracts will be negotiated for these "on-premises" applications.

In certain cases, our customers require the abacusBPM application to interface with other enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, EDMS, CTMS etc.). In such cases, abacusBPM will negotiate a separate contract for our systems integration services.

In certain cases, our customers require us to migrate existing data from a system that is being replaced by the abacusBPM application. In such cases, abacusBPM will negotiate a separate contract for our data migration services.
